Wayland Hockey Association Announces Golf Tournament Fundraiser

The Wayland Hockey Association's Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, September 30th at Wayland Country Club.

Please support the girls and boys hockey players in Wayland by participating in or sponsoring the Wayland Hockey Association's (WHA) Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, September 30th at Wayland Country Club.

This is our organization’s biggest fundraiser and as a self-funded sport, we rely on the support of the community and businesses to make sure we can run our programs and keep hockey in Wayland.

The tournament features hamburgers and hot dogs during registration; shotgun start at 1pm; contests with prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive and team scores; a raffle and silent auction; and a delicious buffet dinner.

This year, we have exciting auction items such as a round of golf and lunch for three at The Country Club in Brookline, a private charter fishing trip out of Barnstable Harbor on Cape Cod to fish for striped bass, tuna, shark, albacore and bonito and 4 tickets to a Bruins game among others!!

If you can't play in the tournament or are not a golfer, please consider sponsoring a tee sign ($250) to advertise your business or donating an auction/raffle item for the tournament-we appreciate anything from gift cards to services or season tickets, etc. See sponsorship form below.

With the success of the boys’ varsity team last year, the season was longer than usual and while it resulted in an exciting D3 North Final title, it also added costs for more practice ice and transportation - a pleasant problem we hope we will have again this season!

We are also excited to support the Wayland/Weston girls teams at the middle school and high school and are optimistic about the future of girls’ hockey in Wayland.

Thanks in advance - the hockey players and their families in Wayland appreciate your continued support!
