Wayland Holds Special Town Meeting to Vote on 13 Articles
Voters will decide on 13 articles, which include approving the purchase of land, and a recreation plan for the town.

WAYLAND, MA—Wayland is holding a Special Town Meeting to address 13 warrant articles, ranging in approving a recreation strategic plan for the town to removing police from the provisions of civil service to purchasing 107 Old Sudbury Road.
The warrant articles:
1. Municipal Field Irrigation Waiver Bylaw Change
2. Amend Chapter 36, Section 18 of Town Code, Attendance and Participation of Nonresident Town Officials
3. Landscaping in Parking Areas Zoning Bylaw
4. Conservation Cluster Developments Zoning Bylaw
5. Petition the State Legislature to Remove all Police Personnel from the Provisions
of Civil Service without affecting the Civil Service Rights of Incumbents
6. Authorize Land Acquisitions for Natural Diversity (LAND) Grant Program Funding to Purchase Conservation Restriction on Mainstone Farm
7. Amend FY2017 Capital Budget to Eliminate Funding for Stonebridge Water Access Road and Water Main
8. Appropriate Funds to Purchase 107 Old Sudbury Road for Water Resource Protection
9. Appropriate Funds to Purchase 8 Glezen Lane for Water Resource Protection
10. Assisted/Independent Living and Nursing Home Zoning Bylaw
11. Home Occupation Zoning Bylaw
12. Town Wide Recreation Facilities Strategic Plan
13. Pay Previous Fiscal Year Unpaid Bills
