Wayland Honors Veterans With Program at Memorial
The program includes a performance of the National Anthem, and a reading of Wayland residents' names who died while serving.

On Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m., Wayland honors its veterans with a program at the Wayland Veterans Memorial, followed by a reception at the Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road.
All are welcome to attend this public event.

The program begins with welcoming remarks by Richard P. Turner, USN RET, Chair of the Public Ceremonies Committee, followed by remarks from Joseph Nolan, Chair of the Board of Selectmen.
The invocation will be made by Rabbi Katy Allen, followed by a keynote address.

The National Anthem and the posting of colors will be made by American Legion Post 133, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by BSA Troop #1 and the Girl Scouts.
There will be a reading of the names of Wayland residents who died while serving by Michael Patterson, LT Col USAF. Mr. Patterson was a pilot who flew 313 combat missions over Laos and North Vietnam.
Echo Taps will be performed by the Wayland High School band, followed by a gun salute by the American Legion Post 133.
The Laying of the Wreath will be done by Edward Lee and Thomas Russo, American Legion Post 133, and Ms. Serena Domolky Howlett.
The closing prayer will be led by Rabbi Katy Allen.
Following the speaking program, there will be a reception in the Senior Center of the Wayland Town Building hosted by American Legion Post 133 and the Public Ceremonies Committee.
