WAYLAND, MA — Wayland has started the process of finding a new town manager, and is asking residents to volunteer to join a search committee to narrow down the candidates.

Previous town manager Louise Miller left Wayland on Jan. 21 to work as Framingham Mayor Charlie Sisitsky's chief financial officer. Former Concord and Longmeadow town manager Stephen Crane has been serving ever since as Wayland's interim town manager.

The Wayland Town Manager Screening Committee will help find a group of finalists to bring to the select board, which will ultimately pick the new manager. The committee's work will mostly take place in August and September, according to the town.
