Wayland Police and Fire Log: Aug. 12-15

  • 100 Commonwealth Road; Aug. 12, 10:38 a.m. - Three-car motor vehicle accident, with one car towed.
  • 1 Springhill Road; Aug. 12, 3:45 p.m. - Officer Tyler Castagno stopped a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. During the motor vehicle stop, it was discovered that the vehicles operator was unlicensed and the vehicle's registration had been suspended. Leonardo Pereira, 26, of Worcester, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation, driving on a suspended registration and driving with an expired inspection sticker.
  • 36 Oak St.; Aug. 12, 6:24 p.m. - The state called to report a lost male party somewhere near the Oak Street bridge. The person was gone when officers arrived.
  • 44 Main St.; Aug. 13, 3:45 p.m. - Two-car motor vehicle accident. Both cars released to operators.
  • 5 Farmcrest Lane; Aug. 13, 3:46 p.m. - Caller reported a coyote in her backyard.
  • 9 Mellen Lane; Aug. 14, 4:05 a.m. - Cab driver reported his customer was refusing to pay.
  • 54 Rich Valley Road; Aug. 14, 11:13 a.m. - Caller reported that a theft occurred sometime in the past two days. Logged as "larceny over $250."
  • 234 Cochituate Road; Aug. 14; 11:54 p.m. - Caller reported hearing a crash in front of his house. The resident's mailbox and pole were struck, but there was no car in the area.
  • 199 Boston Post Road; Aug. 15, 3:17 p.m. - One-car motor vehicle accident.
  • 172 School St.; Aug. 15, 5:17 p.m. - Two-car motor vehicle accident.
  • Deer Run; Aug. 15, 9:40 p.m. - Caller reported hearing gun shots. The log notes this entry as "Unfounded."
