Wayland Police and Fire Log: Aug. 5-8

  • 317 Boston Post Road; Aug. 5, 6:54 a.m. - Two-vehicle accident between a car and a moped. No one was transported.
  • 116 Main St. (Liberty Pizza); Aug. 5, 2:41 p.m. - Caller reported someone dumping trash in the dumpster at Liberty Pizza. The trash was found to belong to 38 Lakeview Road, and an officer advised the resident to stop.
  • 10 Goodman Lane; Aug. 5, 8:08 p.m. - Caller reported a man "wielding a machette [sic] in the road." This incident remains under investigation. Patch will update as information becomes available.
  • Old Farm Road; Aug. 6, 1:40 a.m. - Mailboxes were knocked over.
  • 16 Old Farm Road, Aug. 8, 12:23 p.m. - Caller reported mailbox missing on arrival home. The log also notes houses #12, #3 and #7 in this entry.
  • 2 Glen Road; Aug. 7, 11:54 a.m. - Motor vehicle accident.
  • 136 Main St.; Aug. 8, 9:30 a.m. - Male hitchhiker reported. He was transported to the Framingham town line.
  • 129 Boston Post Road; Aug. 8,  1:02 p.m. - Theft by a former employee reported.
  • 9 Hemlock Road; Aug. 8, 1:49 p.m. - Vandalism to shrubs reported.
  • 28 Boston Post Road; Aug. 8, 4:47 p.m. - Two-car motor vehicle accident.
  • 9 Astra; Aug. 8, 8:19 p.m. - Caller reported an overdue motorist. The motorist left the Cape between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. that morning.
