Wayland Police Log: An Arrest, a Steaming Pond and a Loose Donkey (Nov. 8-14)

  • 7 Castle Gate Road; Nov. 8, 2:50 p.m. - Motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was transported via Basic Life Support.
  •  67 Loker Street; Nov. 8, 3:48 p.m. - Passing motorist reported smoke coming from the back of a property. When the area was checked, it was determined the "smoke" was likely steam off the pond.
  • 31 Main Street; Nov. 10, 5:31 p.m. - A person came into the station to report a large pothole in the road at the location mentioned. A log listing about one hour later lists three vehicles with damage reported from the pothole address.
  • 5 Concord Road; Nov. 11, 3 p.m. - Report of stolen wood.
  • 5 Decolores Drive; Nov. 11, 12:27 p.m. - Arrest of William Nydam of 110 Charles St., in Waltham. Nydam, 45, was arrested and charged with operating after suspension.
  • 18 Old Farm Road; Nov. 12, 12:08 p.m. - Caller reported truck tangled in wires.
  • Boston Post Road; Nov. 13, 6:44 a.m. - Caller reported horses and a donkey running loose on Route 20. Wayland PD and Weston PD responded and corralled the animals. .
  • 6 Morrill Drive; Nov. 13, 12:56 a.m. - Driver reported having the car hit by an egg while driving.
