Wayland Police Log: Arrests and a Cardboard License Plate (Jan. 3-8)

- 190 Main Street; Jan. 3, 2:12 p.m. - A man reported returning home from work to find his front door open and papers scattered on the floor.
- 100 Old Sudbury Road; Jan. 3, 2:46 p.m. - Caller reported that the Wayland Children and Parents Association sign was stolen from "Five Paths."
- 24 Riverview Circle; Jan. 3, 10:07 p.m. - Caller reported an adult male left a residence upset after a breakup with his girlfriend. He was "walking the streets without a shirt or protective clothing." Man was located and transported to Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham.
- 391 Commonwealth Road; Jan. 4, 4:45 a.m. - One-car motor vehicle accident resulted in damage to the island.
- Old Sudbury Road; Jan. 4, 7:45 a.m. - Caller reported seeing a car with a cardboard license plate and one non-working taillight.
- 6 Sedgemeadow Road; Jan. 4, 8:27 a.m. - Arrest of John Kerrigan, 29, of 1 Aspen Road in Weston. Kerrigan was charged with domestic assault and battery and intimidation of a witness.
- 6 Sedgemeadow Road; Jan. 5, 3:36 a.m. - Arrest of John Kerrigan, 29. Charges include violation of a restraining order, operating to endanger, operating a motor vehicle without headlights, speeding, and failure to keep right for oncoming vehicle. See this article for more information.
- 11 Bald Rock; Jan. 5, 12:07 p.m. - FedEx dispatcher reported that a driver had been bitten by a dog at this address. The driver went to the hospital.
- 17 Wayland Hills; Jan. 6, 8:50 p.m. - Following a 911 hang-up call, officers arrived at this address and placed Frederick Leichter, 53, of this address under arrest. Charges include domestic assault and battery.
