- 100 Old Sudbury Road; Feb. 18, 12:19 a.m. - Motor vehicle accident with airbag deployment. No injuries reported.
- 20 Bayfield Road; Feb. 18, 8:30 a.m. - Caller reported a large possum in the front yard and asked that an officer determine whether the animal was sick. Officer Bradford reported, determined the animal was sick and disposed of it.
- 248 Commonwealth Road; Feb. 18, 11 a.m. - Caller reported someone burning lawn chairs without a hose nearby. Party was advised of burning rules and allowed to continue.
- 397 Boston Post Road; Feb. 18, 11:14 a.m. - Caller reported a shoplifter in the store. The property was returned and an oral "No Trespassing" order was issued with a written order to be mailed.
- 322 Commonwealth Road; Feb. 19, 8:49 a.m. - Commercial breaking and entering reported.
- 7 Shaw Drive; Feb. 19, 1:24 p.m. - Caller reported two dogs on the loose with leashes attached and no owners in sight.
- 78 Old Connecticut Path; Feb. 21, 11:10 p.m. - Car vs. tree accident resulted in a transport to Newton-Wellesley hospital.
Editor's Note: It has been brought to our attention that, technically, "possums" live only in the Eastern Hemisphere, while their marsupial cousins "opossums" live in the Western Hemisphere. Wayland is decidedly Western Hemisphere, so we have corrected the headline and apologize for the error.
