Wayland Ranked Among Top-10 Suburbs in Mass. to Raise Children
Wayland earned high marks for safety, education, housing, and access to day care.

Wayland is among the top 10 places in the Bay State to raise a family, according to a new survey.
Niche, which ranks U.S. communities and colleges, this week released its ”2015 Best Suburbs to Raise a Family in Massachusetts.” Wayland ranked at No. 4.
The rankings were based on age demographics, school ratings, crime rates, affordable housing, child care, libraries, and grocery stores, among other factors.

- Weston
- Wayland
- Wellesley
- Brookline
- Westford
- Westwood
- Acton
- Belmont
Here’s how Niche ranked Wayland’s key attributes:
- Crime/safety: A-
- Education: A+
- Libraries: C
- Community: A+
- Housing: A-
- Day cares: A
- Grocery stores: A
- Residents 35-44 years old: 11.9 percent
- Residents 9 and younger: 12.8 percent
