Wayland Resident Enjoys SHARK Adaptive Baseball Camp at Franciscan Hospital for Children!

The week concluded with a visit from Lowell Spinners "Millie-Gator"!

On Friday, August 14, the Lowell Spinners’ β€œMillie-Gator” made a special visit to Franciscan Hospital for Children’s SHARK Adaptive Baseball Camp. The kids showed off their skills and participated in drills while being cheered on by their coaches, therapists and β€œMillie-Gator”!

SHARK Adaptive Baseball Camp is offered by the hospital every summer and offers all children the chance to play America’s favorite game in a fun and safe environment. Throughout the week, children with special needs – both from the Kennedy Day School at Franciscan and other area communities – work on pitching, catching, batting, base-running/wheeling and other baseball activities in small groups with the aid of their coach and therapists, who direct the group activities.
