Wayland In The Snow: Smooth Sailing For The Town, And The Chief

As of early afternoon, there have been no issues related to the storm reported in Wayland.

WAYLAND, MA — While there were a handful of accidents reported on the main arteries in the state, as well as some power outages (mostly on the South Shore) and in some surrounding towns today, Wayland still sails smoothly as of 1:30 p.m.

While no specific totals were reported on the National Weather Service so far, nearby Natick reportedly had three inches on the ground by 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Wayland Police Chief Robert Irving said there were no accidents, no power outages or problems in Wayland as of early afternoon.

"I had a nice drive in to work this morning because there were no cars on the road," said Irving.

Wayland snow totals had not been reported as of 1:30 p.m. on the National Weather Service, but nearby Natick reports three inches on the ground as of 11 a.m.
