Celebrate spring with a hike through Wayland Hills and a picnic on top of Turkey Hill. May 18 is the Jewish holiday of Lag B'Omer, when it is the custom to light bonfires and have picnics and outdoor celebrations. We won't light a bonfire, but we will have a picnic and an outdoor celebration. All are welcome, including families.Β Bring your lunch and water and a friend. If you wish, bring a celebratory reading or song to share.Β Meet in the parking lot to Hamlen Woods on Rice Road between Woodridge Road and Mainstone Road. Watch for the red fire hydrant. This event is co-sponsored by Ma'yan Tikvah and will be led by Rabbi Katy Allen.
