Wayland Will Offer Free Document Shredding At Event

Wayland residents can bring sensitive documents to the transfer station on Saturday and watch them get shredded.

WAYLAND, MA — The Wayland Department of Public Works will hold a free document shredding event this week for all town residents.

The shredding event on Saturday will allow any resident — with valid proof of residency — to bring sensitive documents to be destroyed. Residents will get to watch the documents being shredded on site.

Anyone interested in attending can head to the Wayland Transfer Station, 484 Boston Post Road, from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Documents can be shredded with staples, rubber bands and other types of binders included. Attendees do not need to have a transfer station sticker.
