Wayland's Health Department Offering Free Flu Clinics
The Health Department announced three free flu clinics, open to all.

WAYLAND, MA—Want to get your flu shot to get ready for the season? The Wayland Health Department, along with our Wayland Resident Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) Volunteers, are offering will injectable flu vaccine clinics.
The clinics are free and open to all.
Flu clinics will be held at the Town Building Large Hearing Room on the following Wednesdays in October:

Oct. 5 from 2-7 p.m.
Oct. 19 from 2-7 p.m.
Oct. 26 from 2-7 p.m.
“Flu Mist” will not be available this year as the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted not to recommend the live attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV) “nasal spray."

Injectable Seasonal Flu Vaccine will be available to everyone six months or older at the clinics. Limited doses of Pneumococcal and Tdap vaccine will be available at the Community Clinics for those individuals who meet the criteria set forth by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) AND have reserved a dose by calling the FLU Hotline at 508-358-6805.
