WDW offers three Summer Master Classes: week-long classes in improvisition, dance & movement and acting

Weston Drama Workshop, a nonprofit youth summer theater organization based in Weston, is presenting a series of weeklong master classes this fall for young people interested in honing their theater skills.
The first class, Improv Intensive, will take place the week of June 27th, and will be offered in conjunction with ImprovBoston. Participants will study the fundamentals of short-form improvisation, character and relationship building skills, and how to heighten a scene. The week will culminate with a workshop performance led by cast members of ImprovBoston.
A Dance and Movement workshop follows, running from July 5th to July 8th. Participants will explore numerous forms of dance including jazz, modern, ballet, and musical theater. Additionally, they will learn about movement technique and theory, as well as how to connect those concepts to acting and staging. The workshop will include instruction from various professional choreographers in the Metro-Boston area.
