Weymouth Man Violates Travel Ban, Gets Stuck on Route 27

Wayland police cited a Weymouth driver for being on the roads in the blizzard.

Wayland police cited an East Weymouth man for violating the governor’s travel ban on Tuesday morning.

At 10:40 a.m., police responded to a report of a car being stuck on Route 27 in Wayland. The driver did not have a legitimate exemption to be on the road, and was subjected to a $500 fine.

Also, the Wayland Department of Public Works has reported pedestrians walking on the roadway. All residents are advised not to walk on the roadways as the plows have limited visibility and it is dangerous for pedestrians and the snowplow drivers.
