Where in Wayland: A Dog, A Chair and A Field

We're shaking up the Where in Wayland series with a new star.

The recent beautiful weather has the entire Patch family developing some serious spring fever -- and that includes our four-legged family member.

Jersey, the Wayland Patch mascot, has wanted to be out in the sun as much as any two-legged owner, and who are we to deny him that opportunity?

With that in mind, we're kicking off our Where in Wayland: The Wayland Patch Mascot Series with today's photo.

Throughout the next couple of weeks (assuming the weather stays spring-like), the Wayland Patch mascot will be out and about in Wayland, visiting local spots, meeting Waylanders and posing for photos (well, posing might be too strong a word for what he does, but you get the idea).

What does this mean for you? Well, first it means that if you see him out and about, come say hello and pat him on the head. Second, it means that you'll have opportunities to test how well you know Wayland's landscape as you enter guesses about Jersey's whereabouts. And third, you'll have the opportunity to submit your own dog-centric images of Wayland.

Just snap an image of your pup at play in Wayland and text it to 508-344-7464 or email it to brooklyn.lowery@patch.com. Your furry friend could be the star of an upcoming "Where in Wayland?"

In the meantime, take a guess in the comments below at where Jersey found himself recently ... sitting beside an old school chair in the middle of an empty field (no, we didn't put the chair there). This one is tough, so look for hints later today if no one guesses it correctly.

Good luck and get guessing.
