Wild Cranberry Harvesting
Sunday, October 25, 12:00 PM (Raindate, Nov. 1) Wachusett Reservoir, Boylston Meet at Open Spirit, Framingham, for carpooling
Come wild cranberry picking! Bring a reading or song about fall or harvesting fruits or cranberries and take the short walk to shores of Wachusett Reservoir. There (on dry land) we’ll share a late fall potluck picnic lunch and pick wild cranberries. Bring something to share for lunch and your own drinks and utensils. (Warm soup sounds good for a picnic in October!) Also please bring containers for the cranberries. You can pick some berries for yourself, but most will be given to a homeless shelter for their Thanksgiving dinner. There may be muddy spots, so be prepared footwear-wise, and it could be windy and chilly along the water. All ages are welcome! This event will be led by Rabbi Katy Allen and is sponsored by the One Earth Collaborative, a project of Open Spirit. Donations of $5-10 are suggested to support the One Earth Collaborative. Please RSVP to info@oneearth.today.
