2. Rats on the rise in Wellesley (theswellesleyreport.com) — Residents and business owners in Wellesley, especially Lower Falls and Linden Square, are reporting a noticeable rise in rats, prompting inspections and coordinated responses from the Wellesley Health Department and Board of Health. Officials describe town-wide efforts with property owners and pest control companies to seal burrows, manage trash, and address rodent hotspots, while warning that eliminating infestations will take time.
   

3. Car crashes into Wellesley home, driver injured (boston25news.com) — Emergency crews in Wellesley rushed to Weston Road after a car slammed into a house Thursday, leaving a large hole in the foundation and forcing specialists to shore up the structure to prevent collapse. The driver suffered only minor injuries and no one was inside the home, but the incident may affect nearby traffic and raises fresh concerns about roadway safety.
   

4. MassBay reopens Buccaneer Café with new dining options (wickedlocal.com) — Students and staff at MassBay's Wellesley Hills campus now have a renovated Buccaneer Café with an all-electric kitchen, expanded menu, and a mobile app for advance ordering and rewards. Operated by Needham-based Baker's Best, the refreshed space aims to make it easier to grab breakfast, lunch, dinner, or quick snacks between classes while offering a more welcoming place to gather.
