10 Dates You Need to Know on the Westborough School Calendar

WESTBOROUGH, MA — The 2016-2017 school year is almost here, and while students may be dreading it, the time has come to make preparations for the upcoming school year.

Students are due back in Westborough schools on Wednesday, Aug. 31, for all grades. The return is immediately followed by another break, with no school on Monday, Sept. 5 (Labor Day).

Here are ten other important dates on the Westborough public schools calendar that you should be aware of during the first few months of the year.

1. Sept. 8: WHS open house
2. Sept. 13: Gibbons open house
3. Sept. 30: early release
4. Oct. 3: no school, Rosh Hashanah
5. Oct. 10: no school, Columbus Day
6. Oct. 12: no school, Yom Kippur
7. Nov. 8: no school
8. Nov. 11: no school
9. Nov. 23: half day
10. Nov. 24-25: Thanksgiving break
