Gertrude F. (Sis) Bushey, 82, passed away Saturday, May 12. She was the wife of the late Gerald Bushey. Prior to her marriage, she was employed as a medical technologist. She was a communicant of and currently the coordinator of Eucharistic Ministers. She was a member of St. Luke’s Senior Adults, the Women of St. Luke’s, the Marthas and Marys and was a former CCD teacher. She was also a member of the and worked the Westborough election polls. She is survived by four sons, one sister and seven grandchildren. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 18, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St. Burial will follow in Calling hours at the 4 Church St., are Thursday, May 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Luke the Evangelist Church Memorial Fund, 70 West Main St., Westborough, MA 01581.

Diana Lynn (Kallio) Harpin, 54, a Westborough resident for 18 years and formerly of Acton, died May 5. Born in Concord and raised in Acton, she was the mother of son, Evan and daughter, Emma. A 1975 graduate of Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, Diana earned a bachelors degree from Lesley College in Cambridge and was employed in international sales for Nova Biomedical. In addition to her children, she is survived by sister Pam McKee and husband Jeff of Salem; brother Kyle Kallio and wife Danielle of Ashburnham; nephews Kyle and Nicholas Kallio; aunts and uncles William and Doris Bain of Hamilton, Lois and Richard Steele of Yarmouthport, and Vivien Kallio of Maynard; boyfriend Stephen Hull; and many cousins. The funeral service was held Saturday, May 12 at . Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Westborough Players Club, P.O. Box 608, Westborough, MA 01581.

William J. Whalen, 81, passed away on Thursday, May 10. He was the husband of Lois Greene Whalen. He served six years with the Massachusetts National Guard and two years with the U.S Army during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, her husband and their children of Lowell; one son, his wife, and their children of Illinois; one brother and his wife of Waltham; one sister of Pembroke Pines, FL; and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late William Whalen, Jr. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 15, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St. Burial in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne, will be private. Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St. are Monday, May 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 350 Plantation St., Worcester, MA 01604.
