On Sunday, Aug. 16, more than 11,000 runners assemble at Woods Hole for the 43rd annual Falmouth Road Race.
Sponsored by New Balance, the race kicks off at 9 a.m. and the seven mile course winds from Woods Hole Community Center, around Nobska Lighthouse, along the waters of Vineyard Sound to the top of Falmouth Harbor and on to Grand Ave. at Falmouth Heights Beach.

“The race is one of the showcase events in distance running and woven into the fabric of summer on Cape Cod, like Fourth of July fireworks and Labor Day weekend cookouts,” says the race’s website. “
