4 Car Crash Sends Two, Including Officer, to Hospital
A four vehicle crash in Westborough on Route 9 sent two people with injuries to the hospital.

A crash in Westborough has sent two, including an officer from the Southborough Police Department, with injuries to the hospital
On Tuesday, Sept 15, Westborough police responded at 9:04 p.m. for reports of a car crash on Route 9 at Longmeadow Road.
Police found that four vehicles were involved in the crash. The first vehicle was a 2014 Toyota with heavy front end damage. The operator, Teresa M. Meltzer, 61, 46 Wilbur Dr., Ashland, was still inside the vehicle with a serious head injury. She was treated by paramedics from the Westborough Fire Dept. and transported to UMass. Medical University Hospital.

The second vehicle was a 2015 Ford SUV owned by the Southborough Police Department and driven by Officer John Woodford, 32. He was treated at the scene by the Southborough Fire Dept. and was transported to Marlborough Hospital for an evaluation.
Two unoccupied vehicles, the first being a 2014 Mazda owned by Matthew Teto of Athol and the second being 2008 Ford Pickup owned by DL Peterson Trust of Sparks, MD, were also involved in the collision.

The Mass State Police accident reconstruction team was dispatched and are investigating the crash.
