Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough police are seeking tips from the public following a series of commercial and residential break-ins over the past two days. The five break-ins began at the Sachi Japanese Steakhouse, which thieves ransacked and stole cash from. In two more commercial break-ins at True Salon and Deluxe Spa and Nails, which are inside the same shopping plaza along Route 9, thieves also stole cash. Police have also responded to break-ins along Charlestown Meadows Drive, a housing development that includes town homes. In both break-ins, the homeowners were away and returned to find cash and property missing, plus signs of someone rummaging through belongings, police said in a news release. Anyone with tips or who recognizes surveillance images of the suspects can call Westborough police detectives at (508) 475-4250.
