WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough will launch a new community music festival this fall, bringing performers to porches and other outdoor spaces near downtown.
The first-ever Westborough Porchfest will run from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19. The free event, presented by the Westborough Cultural Council, will feature local and regional musicians performing throughout the community.
Performances are expected on front porches, stoops and other street-facing spaces along side streets near downtown. Participants must remain on private property rather than performing in the street.
The town has also posted a performer application for musicians interested in taking part.
The Cultural Council has explored bringing Porchfest to Westborough for several years, according to its 2026 grant announcement. In February, the council voted to pause its Arts in Common festival for 2026 to focus on launching Porchfest, according to meeting minutes.
