Westborough Food Pantry Issues Urgent Call For Staple Foods

The Westborough Food Pantry is asking residents to help replenish several staple foods amid record demand for its services.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — The Westborough Food Pantry is asking residents to help replenish several staple foods amid record demand for its services.

The pantry urgently needs macaroni and cheese, all types of pasta, plain tomato sauce rather than prepared pasta sauce and dried black beans. Donations may be placed in collection bins at Stop & Shop and Roche Bros. or left in the Westborough Fire Department lobby, which accepts donations around the clock.

More people are relying on the pantry than ever, the organization said. The pantry served 21 percent more people during the first part of 2026 than during the same period in 2025, according to the town's summer newsletter.

The volunteer-run pantry serves Westborough residents and families experiencing food insecurity. Proof of residency is required, but there are no additional eligibility requirements, according to the town.

The pantry is located at the rear of 9 East Main St.

It is open from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays for residents age 60 and older and from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays for all clients.

Food donations may also be brought to the pantry during distribution hours or by appointment.
