Bidding Open for Contractors to Work on the Forbes Building Renovation

The town is soliciting qualified contractors in a number of specialties.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—The town has opened its bidding process for contractors to work on the renovation and addition to the Forbes Municipal Building.

Westborough is soliciting Request for Qualifications and Statement of Qualifications from experienced contractors in: masonry, miscellaneous and ornamental iron, waterproofing/damproofing and caulking, roofing and flashing, metal windows, glass and glazing, lath and plastering, tile, terrazzo, acoustical tile, resilient flooring, painting, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC and electrical.

The Forbes Municipal Building project involves renovation and additions to a building that was originally built in 1925, with minor improvements and a small addition performed in 1980. The building is approximately 45,500 square feet in size and serves Westborough Police Dept., School Department Central Office, Building and Planning Departments and several other town agencies.
