The results, to me, were not surprising. Some of the biggest mistakes home sellers in Wesborough and surrounding communities include:
Overpricing - Interview four realtors and see many sellers decide to hire the agent recommending the highers asking price. That's almost always asking for tor trouble. House prices sell based on market forces, and have nothing to do with what a seller wants or needs to get for his/her home.
Showing Availability - Sellers who limit the times available for buyers to see their homes around their needs, risk seeing their homes sit. Make showings convenient for buyer needs, and sell your home faster.
Clutter - This is a major problem especially with many seniors who've lived in their homes 20+ years. Many seniors accumulate lots of "stuff". Unfortunately, that stuff can make it harder to attract buyers. Follow your realtor's advice. If your home is too cluttered, get the dumpsters, and start clearing.
