Eventually, Cantrell in Westborough will employ more than 200 people. At the outset, they will hire approximately 30 people, and have already brought two aboard to plan for the facility.

Cantrell Drug Company makes medications on a large scale that are provided to hospitals and physicians, such as IVs and injectable drugs.

“They seek to open in Westborough so that they can better serve hospitals and physicians in the Northeast,” said Ball. “The building at 201 Flanders Road is well suited to the type of drug production that occurs at an outsourcing facility. It will provide the company with adequate lab and administrative space and has a terrific location near I-495 and I-90. Lastly, the region has many skilled medical and lab workers.”
