Energy and Environmental Affairs Listening Sessions Planned for Westborough

Rep. Kane is urging the public to attend one of the seven sessions.

The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EOEEA) agencies and offices is holding public listening sessions throughout the months of October and November.

These listening sessions, according to an announcement, give the public the opportunity to provide important feedback on energy and environmental affairs regulations that will be reviewed under Executive Order 562.

EOEEA wants to hear from people regularly affected by state regulations to ensure this review and evaluation process is as meaningful as possible. In addition to these listening sessions, the Baker-Polito Administration has established an online portal to solicit feedback on potential regulatory changes which can be found here.

Representative Hannah Kane (R-Shrewsbury) encourages all affected by environmental policy and programs to attend these sessions in order to make their concerns on existing rules and regulations heard.

“It is great to see the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs host these sessions and it demonstrates the agency’s commitment to reviewing all the rules and regulations that businesses and individuals operate under and, where possible, ensure they are not hindering businesses or burdening individuals without clear and appropriate environmental gain,” she said in a statement. “This is a great example of the democratic process at work and I encourage all those affected to take part.”
