Boston Flower & Garden Show Planned

The Boston Flower & Garden Show brings Spring to New England from March 13 to March 17, 2013 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston.  


The five-day event features more than 20 gardens created by professional landscape designers, nurseries and historic properties embracing innovative new plants, materials and techniques that increase the beauty, bountiful harvest and ecological friendliness of gardens and outdoor spaces.


Hundreds of retail vendors will feature thousands of plants, garden tools and furnishings, landscape services, botanical décor and floral themed gifts.

Experts will be demonstrating how to raise chickens and keep bees – two of the fastest growing environmental hobbies.


Local chefs will teach how to grow, use and preserve produce and herbs for year-round enjoyment and nutrition.

The Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Horticultural Society will coordinate competitions amongst the region’s top amateur floral arrangers and horticulturists, all set to the show theme.


Master Gardeners will be on hand to help with vexing garden issues from soil typing to insect treatments.


Children’s activities will center on learning the importance of organic gardening.




The 2013 Boston Flower & Garden Show is sponsored by Subaru of New England and produced by Paragon Group of Needham, an event marketer and producer of major events including the New England International Auto Show and the National Golf Expo Boston.


The show runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.


Admission is $20 for adults, $17 for seniors ages 65 and older, $10 for children ages six to 17, and free for children under age six. Group discount tickets are available for advance purchase in quantities of 20 or more.
