For the past thirty-one years, Aquatic Control Technology (ACT) of Sutton (Gerry Smith & Dominic Meringolo (508) 865-1000) has been treating the nuisance aquatic vegetation at Lake Chauncy Beach. They will once again be chemically treating the beach on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. The area of the Town Beach will be closed for swimming, boating and fishing for ‘that day’ only. As well, drinking, cooking, irrigation and watering of livestock are restricted until Monday, June 11th. Water restriction signs will be posted prior to and on the day of application. All abutters have been notified by mail.
This project is being performed under a license permit issued by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MDEP) and is authorized by the Westboro Conservation Commission. ACT is the consultant and contractor for the project.
