Westborough Players' Club Holds Auditions for 'Annie'

The Westborough Players Club will be holding auditions for the first show of its 76th season, "Annie," from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Harvey Building, 20 Phillips St. 

This production will include actors and actresses from the age of 8 to 80 and over. Organizers are encouraging anyone who has ever wanted to be a part of a quality community theater production to audition. 

Candidates are asked to prepare 16 bars of an appropriate musical theatre song not from the show, and to be prepared to dance. There will be cold readings from the script.

Callbacks will be held on Sunday, Sept. 30.

The Players are seeking talented actors, singers, and dancers  from throughout the MetroWest. All roles are open. Candidates must be at least 8 years old to audition for the show.

Rehearsals will begin Oct. 4 and be held on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays through the production process. The production will be performed Jan. 11 through Jan. 13. Candidates should be prepared to list any potential conflicts at the audition.

Annie will be directed by Sarah Worrest, with music direction by David Rose and choreography by Kelly Flanagan.
