Finally, Some Rain: Totals for Worcester County
The gardens and grass were thankfully for some rain that helped break up the drought. Here are some local rainfall numbers.

WORCESTER COUNTY, MA—Most of the state saw a decent amount of rain overnight, helping to crack a drought that has threatened even the hardiest of tomato plants.
According to the National Weather Service, here are some of the rainfall totals as of 7-8 a.m. on Wednesday:
- Gardner: 0.80 inches
- Fitchburg: 0.60 inches
- Leominster: 0.56 inches
- Holden: 0.50 inches
- Westminster: 0.46 inches
- Northborough: 0.44 inches
- Auburn: 0.43 inches
- Shrewsbury: 0.35 inches
