Fire Hits Westborough Home, But Smoke Detectors Make Save

The fire broke out late Wednesday in a downtown Westborough home.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A fire damaged a downtown Westborough home late Wednesday night, but there were no injuries reported.

Westborough firefighters responded to 28R Milk St. near 11 p.m. The fire was out quickly and all residents evacuated thanks to the home's smoke detectors, the fire department reported.

The home is located behind Memorial Cemetery near the Forbes Municipal Building.
