Former Westborough Returns to Sign New Historical Fiction Novel

WESTBOROUGH, MA—All fans of Westborough history, especially, are urged to get this new book, and attend this event.
The Westborough Public Library is hosting Jillian Hensley, former Westborough resident and author of the new historical fiction novel "In This Strange Soil" on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 2 p.m.
Jillian Hensley, a former Westborough resident, weaves together two events in 1704 in her novel: the February raid on Deerfield by Indians under French command; and the abduction of four young boys of the Rice Family from Westborough (then known as the settlement of Chauncy), said the press release.

Copies of Hensley’s book will be available for purchase and autographing. This program is free and open to the public.
