Get Your Free Sapling; Westborough Celebrates Arbor Day
To celebrate Arbor Day, Westborough offers free trees to residents, and plants a new tree in town.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — In January, the Board of Selectmen signed a proclamation acknowledging that Arbor Day will be celebrated in Westborough on Friday, April 29.
In observance of the day, the Tree Division of the DPW plants a tree in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Also, 50 white pine saplings are handed out to Westborough residents on a first-come, first-served basis. Pick yours up starting April 29 at noon at the Westborough Library.
