Suspect In Westborough Domestic Violence Incident Shot And Killed
Police got to the Windsor Ridge apartment as the incident was happening and an officer shot and killed the suspect, according to the DA.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — The suspect in a domestic violence incident in Westborough's Windsor Ridge Apartments was shot and killed by a police officer on Friday. Police were called to a home in the complex at 12:10 p.m. and arrived while the incident was unfolding, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early.
In a press conference DA Early said the Westborough police walked into the incident as it was happening, one officer fired several shots, killing the suspect. The suspect and the victim were both taken to UMass hospital. The suspect was pronounced dead.
Westborough Police Chief Jeffrey Laurie said, "This was not a random, isolated incident, the people are safe and the officer was also transported as per protocol."
