John Joseph Flynn of Westborough passed away on April 9. He served in the US Marine Corps and was part of the occupying force in Japan during World War II.  John also served a second time during the Korean conflict. He was active in the United Auto Workers and a long time member of the Democratic National Committee. He was elected Connecticut Democrat of the Year for 1989 and received the UAW Walther Reuther Social Justice Award for 2011. He is survived by his wife, 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was buried with military honors in . Donations may be made to the John J. Flynn Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o 90 West Main St.

Donald R. Gillon, 73, of Westborough, passed away on April 14. He was the husband of Gail (Brunelle) Gillon. Donald was employed at Imperial Distributors in Auburn, retiring in 2005. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Robert A. Gillon and his wife, Susan, of Hubbardston; and three grandchildren. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 19, at 10 a.m. in the , 62 West Main St. Burial will follow in . Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday, April 18, from 5 to 8  p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701

John and Carolyn Tymosko of Westborough passed away within three days of each other. John, 84, passed away on April 7; Carolyn, 81, passed away on April 10. John was born and educated in Worcester and was a graduate of Wayne State University in Michigan. He held several management positions in Industrial Relations and Sales in the New England area. Carolyn was born and educated in Worcester schools. She was employed as an Educational Loan Specialist for prior to her retirement. She was a long time member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and its choir in Holden. Mr. and Mrs. Tymosko are survived by one son, Steven P. Tymosko of Tyngsboro. A graveside service for John and Carolyn will be held on Friday, April 20, at 1:30 p.m. at the VA National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in their memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org or to the Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue, PO Box 808, Hudson.
