ICYMI: Blood Drive In Honor Of Westborough Junior Battling Cancer
Blood is always desperately needed. Give blood in honor of Corinne Sciarappa.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—Corinne Sciarappa is beginning her junior year at Westborough High School as she continues her battle with rhabdomyosarcoma. Kaity Lawler, an account executive at the American Red Cross and a family friend of Corinne's, writes, "as It has been a long journey for the Sciarappa family and after several cancer-free months, Corinne’s cancer returned. "
The Red Cross is hosting a blood drive on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Congregational Church of Westborough, 57 West Main St.
Corinne is undergoing chemotherapy treatment and has received nearly 150 units of red cells and platelets from donor.

"Cancer patients such as Corinne frequently need blood, and we are asking for your support at our eighth blood drive in her honor," said organizers in an announcement.
So far, the Red Cross has collected 627 blood donations at our blood drives for Corinne, which have helped up to 1881 patients in need.

There is an urgent need for all blood types, and an emergency need for type O donors making this an especially important time to give.
