Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — What does the fox say? In one Westborough fox's case, he says "Thank you,"after the town's animal control officer was able to safely get him treatment for an injury. Westborough Animal Control Officer Melinda MacKendrick answered the late night call on Saturday and came to the fox's rescue.Someone reported the injured fox on Baker Way on Saturday night. The little guy was laying in the grass, waiting for help. MacKendrick used a net to safely gather the fox and took him to Tufts for treatment.The rescue came just in time, as Sunday brought a wintry mix to communities across the state.

For many years, the Claflin Hill Youth Symphonies gave students throughout the MetroWest and Greater Milford region the opportunity to perform serious orchestral repertoire, grow as musicians, and build lasting friendships. Many of those former students are now music educators and professional musicians themselves — and several are returning to help lead this exciting new chapter.
