Introducing Community Showcases at KAM - The First One Will Be Spooktacular!

Calling all Metro West musicians - amateur and professional alike . . . All ages welcome - Enjoy some early Halloween fun and performing!

Introducing the Community Showcase at Karen Amlaw Music - a monthly opportunity for musicians in Metro West, amateur and professional alike, to have fun meeting each other and performing. Young beginners to the young at heart are welcome to try out new music, dust off old pieces, or just have fun performing their favorite songs. All you need is an instrument (including voice) and the desire to play it - No prior connection to KAM required.

Who can perform? Anyone. KAM students & graduates and their friends, neighbors, relatives, colleagues, and more.

How much does it cost? Nothing . . . it really is FREE (Donations accepted). This is part of KAM's ongoing mission to support the arts in Metro West.

When are they? The third Sunday of each month throughout the year beginning with A Spooktacular Community Showcase on Sunday, October 15th from 4 -5 PM. Come in costume if you like. Enjoy some early Halloween fun following the performances!

Where are they? In the Recital Room at Karen Amlaw Music - 57 East Main Street, Suite 203, Westborough, MA 01581. KAM's Recital Room is an intimate space that seats about 30. It is home to a beautiful, fully rebuilt 1928 Ivers & Pond Baby Grand Piano (frequently favorably compared to a Steinway). Music Stands, Power Strips, and Chairs are also available for use by performers in Community Showcases. Note: We do not provide amplification (mics or otherwise) as the space is intimate enough to not require it.

Need to warm up? KAM has two additional studios for that. Each studio is home to a quality piano (a Mason & Hamlin and a Steinway), music stands, a mirror, and chairs.

Not sure how to find KAM? Downtown Crossing is the plaza across the street from CVS and Santander Bank on Main Street In Westborough - other business in the plaza include E-Bridge Montessori School, Rhythm Dance, & the Bistro. KAM is upstairs in the plaza - Enter through the glass doors next to Rhythm Dance and climb the stairs (or use the elevator) in front of you. The Recital Room is the blue one on your right.

Sign-up is required as space is limited. Those desiring to join in the fun should email KAM at karen.amlaw.music@aol.com with the following information:

Name

Instrument

Phone

Email

Date(s) you would like to perform

Equipment required from KAM (stands, chairs, power chords, etc.)
