
On Wednesday, March 9 at 7 p.m., Karen Lindsay of College Search Advising will present Preparing for College - It's Never Too Early! at the . High school or soon to be high school students and parents are invited to attend. The program will share what to do prepare for the process of choosing a college and gain insight into the college application process.
Lindsay will discuss what matters to college admissions officers, common misconceptions and how to develop a realistic college list. Her philosophy is, "It's not about the brand, it's about the fit.” She will provide current admissions statistics and helpful college search tools, web sites, resource books and anecdotal data to help families find the best educational fit.
Freshmen and sophomores will learn how to build a challenging high school curriculum and an activities resume. Juniors will learn techniques to showcase their achievements, personality and goals.

By starting early, Lindsay said, families can properly evaluate their options, minimize the stress, reduce the frustration, and avoid mistakes which can be costly academically, socially and financially. See how to select the right academic environment for your college bound teen and your budget. Parents and students will get tips on how to work together to achieve a common goal.
