Logs: 3 Westborough Men Among Those Facing Judge

Seventeen Westborough related cases were heard in Westborough District Court this week.

Monday, June 27

Ian J. Hayes, 21, of 78 Fisher St., Westborough, was arrested in Westborough and charged with failure to stop for police, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case until Aug. 4.

Timothy O. Simms, 45, of 121 South Quinsigamond Ave., Shrewsbury, was arrested in Westborough and charged with use of motor vehicle without authority, receiving stolen property over $250 and receiving a stolen credit card. Judge Virzi continued the case until July 25.

Udai Dadwal, 36, of 27 Minuteman Way, Shrewsbury, was arrested in Westborough and charged with operating under the influence of liquor. Judge Virzi continued the case until July 22.

William P. Moss, 18, of 24 Knollwood Cir., Millbury, was issued a criminal complaint in Westborough and charged with possession of liquor by a person under 21 and possession of a Class D substance. The liquor charge was dismissed and Moss admitted to sufficient facts and was sentenced to one year of a suspended sentence, ordered to get a substance control evaluation, remain alcohol and drug free and pay $65 a month.

Patrick Hamlin, 18, of 128 Ridge Rd., Northborough, was issued a criminal complaint in Westborough Aug. 2 and charged with larceny over $250 and breaking into a depository. He was also arrested on May 2 in Northborough and was charged with operating under the influence, failure to stop or yield. Hamlin was issued the complaint after stealing $1,700 in cash and $1,200 in checks out of a locked wallet locker at the YMCA Boroughs Branch. The victim had placed his wallet in the locked locker and put the key in an unsecured locker in the mens’ room. A video showed Hamlin, who later confessed to the crime. He was placed on probation and ordered to enter a drug and alcohol treatment facility and submit to random drug testing. He was also ordered to pay $700 in restitution and make restitution to the victim by Aug. 13.

Tuesday, June 28

Michael Todd, 32, 9 Pinehill Rd., Ashland, was arrested on June 4 by Westborough police and charged with OUI liquor or .08 percent, leaving the scene of property damage and marked lane violation. The defendant admitted to sufficient facts on the charge of OUI liquor, was ordered to pay fees totaling $600 and was put on one year probation. By request of the defendant and commonwealth, Judge Calagione dismissed the charge of leaving the scene of property damage. Todd was found not responsible for the marked lane violation.

Heather L. Hoffman, 42, 116 Elain St., Newton Center, was cited in a complaint by Westborough police on May 24. She was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and uninsured motor vehicle for an incident occurring on April 10. Judge Calagione dismissed both charges by request of the defendant and commonwealth.

Michelle H. Macareno, 24, 7 Sylvan St., Apt. 3, Jamaica Plain, was cited on March 25 in a complaint issued by Westborough police for an incident which occurred July 3, 2010. The charges against her include two counts of uttering a false check. She admitted to sufficient facts, was ordered to pay restitution of $1,277.12 and assessed fees totaling $290. Judge Calagione placed her on probation for three years. Two counts of larceny over $250 and two counts of possessing a counterfeit note were dismissed by request of the defendant and commonwealth.

Wednesday, June 29

Gardner C. Luther Jr., 37, 14-A Gleason St., Westborough, was arrested on June 13 in Westborough and charged with suspended license, suspended registration, no inspection sticker. Judge Locke continued the case to July 11.

Edmar DeOliveira, 26, 260 Union Ave., No. 40, Framingham, was arrested on June 8 by Westborough police, and charged with suspended license, equipment violation. Judge Calagione continued the case to Aug. 10.

Paul G. Sullivan, 53, 64 Main St., Northborough, was arrested on June 9 by Westborough police and charged with suspended registration, uninsured MV. Dismissed by Judge Calagione.

Roberto M. Nieves, 31, 9 Priesing St., Apt. 2, Jamaica Plain, was arrested on April 5 by Westborough police and charged with suspended license and no registration in possession. Dismissed by Judge Gardner.

Thursday, June 30

Nicholas E. Spencer, of 232 Rathburn St. Apt. 2L, of Woonocket, R.I. was arrested March 24 by Westborough police and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and failing to have license in possession. His case was continued by Judge Vito Virzi to July 22.

Bryan W. Wood, 24, of 3 Lincoln St., Westborough, was arrested March 29 by Westborough police and charged with two counts of threatening to commit a crime. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case to Aug. 11.

Israel Barbosa, 25, of 28 Cherry St., Shrewsbury, was arrested June 30 by Westborough police and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case to July 6.

Friday, July 1

Stephen J. Dunne, Jr., 35, of 22 German St., Worcester, was arrested in Westborough and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. The case was continued until Sept. 2.

Andrew J. Paulsen-Boccadoro, 25, of 146 Crafts St., Newtonville, was arrested in Westborough and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. A jury found Paulsen-Boccadoro guilty of the drunk driving charge and sentenced him to two years probation, 90 days loss of license, submit to random drug tests and pay $600 in court fees. The jury also found Paulsen-Boccadoro guilty of the motor vehicle charge and sentenced him to two years probation.
