Man Arrested for Having Brass Knuckles and Switchblade, Woman for OUI, After Crash

A crash ended in the arrests of two people, one who allegedly slipped from his handcuffs and had a switchblade in his hand.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—A crash on Saturday afternoon in Westborough ended in two arrests; one for OUI, and the other for a man who allegedly had brass knuckles and slipped from his handcuffs, a switchblade in hand while in the back of a cruiser.

On Saturday, July 16, around 4 p.m., Westborough police received a call regarding a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Route 9 east just prior to Route 30. Police saw a 2011 Toyota in the roadway with a utility pole blocking the travel and breakdown lanes. A woman was lying just off the roadway with minor non-life threatening injuries. She was identified as Julissa Adamuska, 23, Hopkinton Road. Westborough. She was treated by paramedics from the Westborough Fire Department and transported to UMass Medical.

Police then noticed a man walking around near the crash, which had downed electric wires around it. He was told to stay away from the vehicle, and he wouldn't comply. He was taken into custody for being a disorderly person. While being handcuffed, they discovered the man had brass knuckles in the palm of his hand. He was handcuffed in the rear and placed in a cruiser. When Officer Cliff Luce went to check on him shortly after, he found that the suspect had slipped the handcuffs to the front and was holding a switchblade knife in his hand. The knife had been hidden in his waistband.

Police disarmed him and he was re-cuffed.

He was identified as Jamie J. Goodall, 33, Hopkinton Road, Westborough. He was also charged with possessing a third dangerous weapon, a palm knife which was located on the ground where he was taken into custody. He was booked at the Westborough Police Dept. and bailed for his appearance at WDC Monday morning.

A female, identified as Shannon St Laurent, 32, School Street, Webster, was identified as the operator of the vehicle. She was placed under arrest for DUI alcohol, operating after suspension of her license, operating so as to endanger, possession of a class E controlled substance and for a default warrant from Dudley District Court for a probation violation.

She is being held for her appearance in WDC Monday morning.
