Man Charged In Connection With Westborough Vehicle Break-Ins

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A man is facing charges in connection with a series of nighttime motor vehicle break-ins in Westborough.

Ethan Angel Martinez was taken into custody without incident on multiple warrants obtained by Westborough police detectives. Police said the investigation involved break-ins reported throughout the summer and in recent weeks.

Detectives identified Martinez as a suspect while investigating a pattern of break-ins involving parked vehicles, police said. Worcester police later located him with help from regional law enforcement partners.

Martinez faces multiple counts of breaking into a motor vehicle and a charge of larceny under $1,200, according to police. Police issued an arrest warrant after he failed to appear for arraignment.

Police Remind Residents To Lock Vehicles

Police reminded residents to lock their vehicles, remove valuables and avoid leaving keys, key fobs or garage door openers inside unattended cars. Residents who see suspicious activity around parked vehicles should contact police.
