Man Detained In Westborough After Mass Pike Incident In Boston

Westborough and Southborough police located the man on Route 9 Thursday night.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough and Southborough police helped track down a man suspected in a possible road rage incident along the Mass Pike in Boston Thursday evening.

According to police, the man was pulled over by local police along Route 9 after a woman reported that her window was shot out inside the Ted Williams Tunnel. The incident happened just before 6:30 p.m.

After detaining the man, state police said they did not find him with a gun, and that he may have only made an obscene gesture at the woman, who was driving a taxi cab.

"At this time we are not prepared to state conclusively that the window was shattered by a gunshot, but it is not ruled out either," state police said in a news release around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
