New Director of Religious Education
Unitarian Universalist Congregational Society of Westborough

WESTBOROUGH – There is nothing more important to religious groups than the education of the next generation. At the Unitarian Universalist Congregational Society of Westborough, 64 West Main Street, we believe that Religious Education takes a lifetime. That’s why we are so delighted to have hired Ms. Jenna Kyes as our new Director of Religious Education. Ms. Kyes is a lifelong Unitarian Universalist and an experienced Religious Education teacher. She holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Leslie University in Cambridge, MA, and she has taught and volunteered in schools, enrichment programs and summer camps. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to support the children and youth at the Unitarian Universalist Congregational Society of Westborough as they wonder, grow and explore their faith in the Religious Education Program,” says Ms. Kyes. According to Ms. Kyes, she and the Religious Education Committee are hosting an open house to introduce people to the Religious Education program on Sunday, September 18th at 9:30 a.m. All are welcomed
Adds Rev. Bev Waring, minister, “Jenna Kyes is a wonderful addition to our staff team, and the congregation is so excited to have her leadership in this journey of faith that we take together. In an ongoing search for truth and meaning, we strive to guide one another—all ages among us—in spiritual questioning, personal growth, and discovering ways to better live our faith. We believe each of us is responsible and capable to help change the world for the better. Through continually learning and growing together we encourage and support one another, and our children, to know and express our moral agency. From anti-racism and environmental justice to personal spiritual growth, using many formats for learning, Unitarian Universalist (UU) religious education taps the wisdom of diverse Sources. We feed the faith development of everyone involved; teachers are learners, learners are teachers.” Rev. Waring continues, “It’s an exciting time at the Unitarian Universalist Congregational Society of Westborough, and I encourage anyone seeking to be part of a liberal religious community that they visit us, with your family or by yourself, to learn more about this congregation.”
