New Mandatory Water Ban Issued for Westborough

WESTBOROUGH, MA—Officials on Wednesday announced that Westborough is under a non-essential water use mandatory ban, effective immediately.

Due to the state declaring a water drought warning for the area, the town is implementing the following restrictions:

• Odd houses can water on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Even houses can water on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Prohibited water uses between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
• Watering of lawns via sprinklers and irrigation systems
• Washing of vehicles, except for operation safety
• Washing of exterior building surfaces, parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, except to apply paint, etc.
