New Mandatory Water Ban Issued for Westborough
Due to drought conditions, a ban of non-essential water use has been ordered in Westborough.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—Officials on Wednesday announced that Westborough is under a non-essential water use mandatory ban, effective immediately.
Due to the state declaring a water drought warning for the area, the town is implementing the following restrictions:
- Odd houses can water on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Even houses can water on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Prohibited water uses between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- Watering of lawns via sprinklers and irrigation systems
- Washing of vehicles, except for operation safety
- Washing of exterior building surfaces, parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, except to apply paint, etc.
